Allegations of Research Misconduct
MABHA JURNAL (Economics, Tourism, and Hotelier Journal) is committed to research integrity and takes all allegations of research misconduct seriously. The journal follows the guidelines and flowcharts of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Definition
Research misconduct includes fabrication or falsification of data, plagiarism, duplicate or redundant publication, authorship misconduct, undisclosed conflicts of interest, manipulation of peer review or citations, and conducting research without required ethical approval or informed consent.
Reporting
Allegations may be made by anyone, before or after publication, by contacting the Editorial Office at ejournal@mandalabhakti.ac.id with the title of the manuscript or article, a description of the concern, and supporting evidence. Anonymous reports are considered only if accompanied by sufficient, verifiable evidence. The identity of the person making the report is kept confidential.
Investigation
The Editor-in-Chief first assesses whether the allegation is credible. If it is, the corresponding author is notified in confidence and given an opportunity to respond. The Editorial Board then evaluates the evidence, may consult independent experts, and may refer the matter to the authors’ institution or funding body for formal investigation. All cases are handled confidentially, fairly, and without bias.
Possible Outcomes
Depending on the severity of the case, the journal may dismiss the allegation, request correction or revision, reject a manuscript under review, publish a correction, expression of concern, or retraction in accordance with its retraction policy, notify the authors’ institution or funding body, and bar the authors from future submissions for a period set by the Editorial Board.
